As a result of the rapid developments in the fields of science and knowledge in the twenty-first century, we have witnessed developments in all aspects of human life. The inventions and innovations brought about by human intellectual skills, which led to these developments, have led to the accumulation of a wealth of knowledge. Accordingly, this study aimed to determine the relationship between intellectual capital and the decision-making process in academic educational institutions at an Iraqi university and its relationship to the administrative decision-making process among a group of university employees. The study was conducted using questionnaires distributed to (152) employees at the University of Baghdad, one of the educational institutions.. To investigate the study, a descriptive analytical approach was adopted to identify the relationship between the main variables and to determine the dimensions of intellectual capital and the level of employee engagement in the workplace. The SPSS program and statistics based on the arithmetic mean, percentage, and deviation were used. Regarding the decision-making process, a set of dimensions were used to support decision-making.. The study concluded that intellectual capital is given greater importance and a broader position within educational institutions and in their various aspects, enabling them to make critical decisions.
