 ان مفهوم النوع الاجتماعي والذي تم التعرف علية بمصطلح الجندر نالالاهمية القصوى في التنمية التي من المتوقع منها ان تؤدي الى اوضاع حياتية افضل للجميع ولمجالات الحياة كافة، ويعد الجندر مفهوما ثقافيا نسبيا لأنه يختلف عبر الزمان ومن مجتمع لأخر ويشكل نظرة المجتمع لادوار وإمكانيات وحقوق وواجبات كل من المرأة والرجل.

 لقد شكلت قضية المرأة احد المتغيرات في النسيج المجتمعي العراقي بعد سلسلة من الازمات التي تركت اثار مباشرة وغير مباشرة على المؤسسة الاسرية وعلى المرأة خاصة فالعوامل الثقافية والاجتماعية فضلاً عن القصور في تعليم وتدريب المرأة وتدني مستواهن العلمي وضآلة مهاراتهن كلها عوامل تقلص نطاق الاعمال المتاحة لهن وتضعف قدرتها على المنافسة في ميدان العمل الرسمي خارج المنزل والحصول على وظائف تلبي احتياجات الاسرة وتحقق المكانه الاجتماعية اللائقة لها.  

Abstract

The concept of gender, which has been identified by the term gender, has become the most important factor in development, which is expected to lead to better living conditions for all and all areas of life. Gender is a relatively cultural concept because it varies over time and from one society to another and constitutes a society's view of roles, And the duties of both women and men, that is, gender vision seeks to ensure that the benefits of development reach the target groups do not stand in those who are in the best centers and allows them to benefit from them.

The issue of women was one of the variables in the Iraqi social fabric after a series of crises that left direct and indirect effects on the family institution and on women in particular. The cultural and social factors as well as the lack of education and training of women, their low level of education and the low skills of them all reduce the scope of work available to them. To compete in the field of formal work outside the home and to obtain jobs that meet the needs of the family and achieve a social status worthy of it.
