Abstract

The research seeks to study and analyze the repercussions and effects of economic openness in terms of the flow of goods and services and the movement of capital between countries and its clear repercussions on the structure of the Iraqi balance of payments linked to economic transactions between countries within a specific period, as well as the development of international transactions within exports and imports, specifically at the level of the Iraqi economy. The repercussions of economic openness on the structure of the Iraqi balance of payments highlight the importance of the research. The research also aims to study the concept and effects of economic openness and its repercussions on the balance of payments in Iraq. The most prominent results reached by the research are that there is great importance for economic openness towards the Iraqi balance of payments, which contributes to increasing economic growth rates that have been positively reflected towards the Iraqi balance of payments.
