Economic Performance of Al-Diwaniyah Refinery Project

Abstract

Studies that are relevant to the oil industrial sector are of great importance that is given by the economic and financial researchers in both developed and developing countries. The study problem lies in the presence and availability of resources that would contribute to the process of expanding and increasing production, but it needs a decision from the senior management so that the project management can take the necessary measures for that. The research aims to conduct the performance evaluation process for the Al-Diwaniyah refinery project by using the criteria for evaluating the economic and financial performance in order to know the efficiency of the project and its ability to exploit the resources available to it, measure the extent of its productive efficiency, diagnose the amount of deviations and develop appropriate solutions for them. The research included three sections: the theoretical and conceptual aspect of the process of evaluating economic performance, the descriptive aspect of the Al-Diwaniyah refinery project, and the practical side of the Al-Diwaniyah refinery project.
