The reality of urban transportation in the city of Kut

Abstract

The rational management of urban transport in the city of Kut requires control of several elements, the most important of which is the selection of routes accurately and in accordance with the city's urban plan, as well as the optimal selection of each of the stopping places and stations in order to avoid traffic congestion and hot spots leading to accidents. Controlling this factor requires harnessing a legal and technical tool, which is the well-studied movement and mobility scheme. To achieve this, it is necessary to rely on well-known mathematical models for control. In the fluidity and regularity of movement, and the economy in effort, time and cost, while ensuring a minimum level of comfort for users. In the study model, we propose to rely on the population prediction method, which is based on considering the population as the most important and most dynamic component in analyzing the effects of trips generated in the city. The method is based on the calculation of the population expectation in a perspective to estimate their needs for daily trips in the future using certain values ​​of linear regression rates for the base year data.
