Abstract

The research aims to clarify the impact of climate change on the air temperature in the city of Najaf and study of the change in the normal ,minimum and maximum air temperature for the study period extending from (1977-2020) ,General trend coefficient record air temperature and minimum air temperature the four climatic cycles the positive trend, the trend coefficient of maximum temperature in the study area varied between increase and decrease, The general trend factor recorded in the first climate cycle decreased by about(-0.0464) ,The reset of the climatic cycles recorded an increase in the general trend .The relative and total change of the normal temperature for the study period was calculated, which reached above in the month of march for the relative and total chance it recorded about (0.98 ,43.12) each respectively . the highest amount of relative change in minimum temperature was recorded in December ,reaching(0.353) ,Estimate the total change in the minimum temperature above in December ,reaching(15.532), The highest values of the relative maximum temperature change were calculated in the month of April ,reaching(0.82) .The months of January and February recorded the least amount of relative change, amounting to about(-0.13 ,-0.54) each respectively ,As for the calculation of the total change , it reached the highest in the month of April , reaching about(36.08). The rate of change and the percentage change of normal temperature and minimum and maximum temperature between climatic cycles were calculated , The highest rate of change between the first and second climatic cycles of normal temperature was recorded, reaching about (1.37) ,The highest maximum temperature change was recorded between the second and third climatic cycles reaching about (5.882).The annual temperature range for normal temperature and minimum and maximum temperature was calculated between January and July, It was recorded (26.6) and recorded for minimum temperature about (21.8) and (27.8) for maximum temperature .
