Manifestations of Meaning in Vocabulary of the Words of the Qur’an by Al-Ragheb Al-Isfahani and Umdat Al-Hafiz in Tafsir Al-Ashraf Al-Lawfa by Samin Al-Halabi - An Equilibrium Study

This research is interested in standing at the issue of manifestations of meaning; This is done by explaining the semantic phenomena of two great ancient scholars, namely Al-Ragheb Al-Asfahani in his book The Vocabulary of Words of the Qur’an (d. 425 AH) and Al-Samin Al-Halabi in his book Umdat Al-Hafiz in the interpretation of Ashraf Words (d. 756 AH). The semantic, which is determined through - the allocation of the significance, the generalization of the significance, the sophistication of the significance, the degeneration of the significance, and the change of the field of use of the signifier - and the synonymy, the verbal common, and the antagonism.
The research showed the interest of both Al-Ragheb Al-Isfahani and Al-Samin Al-Halabi in the subject of semantic phenomena, as their interest was clear in their books through their mention of these phenomena, which have a great impact on the meaning.
