The Qur’anic rooting of women’s political rights\objective study

Abstract

One of the most important issues that have been raised in the Islamic arena and still resonate is the issue of women and their political rights in terms of their participation in political work and their exercise of political positions, In fact, there is controversy among the scholars of the Islamic nation. Some of them went to the permissibility of women assuming political positions, while we find that another group of scholars argued that women are not eligible for political positions, This study found that women have the right to play a role in political processes, and it is possible for them to occupy a space in political positions, as the Islamic Sharia has proven to them, This research was concerned with the study of women's political rights and their rooting from the Holy Qur'an, so this research came to explain the legitimate political rights of women in the Holy Qur'an, and it included a preface and four sections, The preamble was in explaining the meaning of politics and the first topic regarding women’s right to guardianship, and the second regarding women’s right to take over the judiciary, The third topic dealt with the right of women to vote, and the fourth topic was the right of women to issue fatwas, then the conclusion and a list of sources and references.
