Managing Urban Expansion Using Smart Growth Strategies

The research problem is the absence of a clear vision of the phenomenon of urban expansion and smart growth strategies in managing this phenomenon and limiting the negative effects of unplanned or random expansion or what is called urban expansion. The research assumes that smart growth represents the most important strategies that achieve sustainable urban expansion. The research deals with the most important literature and concepts related to urban growth, expansion and expansion, and the most important literature related to smart growth, and then the most important experiences of urban expansion are addressed and come out with a set of indicators that achieve smart and sustainable expansion of cities. And then the research comes out with a set of conclusions and recommendations.
