The digital divide and its relationship to educational technological competencies among students applying in colleges of education

The aim of the current research is to know The strength and direction of the relationship between the digital divide and educational technology competencies. The research was limited to students applying to the disciplines of pure sciences and humanities in the faculties of education in the universities of the Middle Euphrates (Al-Qadisiyah - Kufa - Babylon - Karbala) for the academic year 2021-2022 Relational descriptive, and to achieve the objectives of the research, two tools were built, the first to measure (the digital divide) and in its final form consisted of (24) paragraphs divided into two areas: (the digital access field - the digital use skills field), and the second tool is to measure (the educational technology competencies) and consisted of its formula The final of (36) paragraphs were divided into three areas: (Planning - Implementation - Evaluation), and after applying the two search tools and using the appropriate statistical methods according to the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS), the following results were reached: There is a strong inverse correlation between the two variables.
