Aging and urbanization are two prominent processes in this era, where the proportion of the elderly has increased with the growth of cities, and several theories have emerged dealing with this issue, but the Islamic religion was a forerunner in giving them attention. By knowing the common characteristics between the elderly and religious narratives and theories, the importance and nature of this class becomes clear to us, Thus, the first part ends with the planning requirements and determinants of healthy and social living for them, while the second part deals with the practical aspect of research in the study area represented by the old city of Najaf.
