Sustainable urban development as a framework for developing and reviving poor areas (Kufa - a case study)

This study in rural areas in rural areas, maps, maps, influences in the uses of areas, among which the study in rural areas, As this phenomenon was studied in four chapters, the first chapter included the conceptual aspect of the subject of the study, and the second chapter was concerned with the reality of the phenomenon of the spread of slums in the city, as it included the most important geographical factors affecting the spread of the phenomenon and its geographical distribution, and the third chapter focused on studying the spatial patterns of the phenomenon of random housing in the city of Kufa, as it included an analysis of the urban, social and economic patterns of the city's slums, while the fourth chapter dealt with the most important negative effects on the city, and also included proposals to address this spread that still exists so far To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used the field study method to collect data and information.
It distributed the questionnaire form to a sample of the study community as a main tool for data collection and research in the field in addition to the available library resources.
This phenomenon is not the result of the current circumstances, but rather has a historical dimension in the city And it still exists to this day. Also, the spread of random housing in the city of Kufa came as a result of the suitability of the natural characteristics of the location and location of the city with its religious importance, which attracted the attention of immigrants to it and the establishment of random housing gatherings, in addition to the growth of the city's population and the high rates of migration accompanied by a lack of housing balance as well as the spatial expansion of the city is not organized, as the researcher concluded that the urban, social and economic patterns in slums The city of Kufa is not much different from what is in the city, as a result of the fact that most of its inhabitants are from the city and the neighboring areas. The study also proved the possibility of addressing the phenomenon of random housing in the city of Kufa through the use of some methods such as the method of complete and partial removal and the method of developing slums, and then the research came out with a set of recommendations.
