The mediating role of organizational nostalgia in the relationship between psychological empowerment of employees and social loafing at work

The main purpose of the current research is to explore the nature of the relationship between three main variables represented in (psychological empowerment of workers, organizational nostalgia, and social loafing at work), in telecommunications companies in Najaf Governorate. The importance of the research stems from the scarcity of studies that attempted to clarify the relationship between the research variables, especially the variable of organizational nostalgia. The current research is considered the first Arab study to address this variable. The current study is an attempt to provide some administrative solutions in the telecommunications companies, the study sample.(85) questionnaires were distributed to working individuals, and the number of unreturned questionnaires was (7),while the retrieved questionnaires valid for statistical analysis were (73), with a representation rate of(85%).The theoretical aspect showed a knowledge gap in the relationship between psychological empowerment of workers, social loafing at work, and organizational nostalgia. As for the practical aspect, its results showed the existence of two types of relationships between the research variables. The first type shows the direct effect between the psychological empowerment of workers and social loafing at work, while the second type shows the indirect effect of the psychological empowerment of workers and social loafing at work through organizational nostalgia.
