Wollstonecraft's enlightenment ideas adopted several axes in social and political life, but they focused precisely on defending women's rights. The fact that women have suffered throughout the ages from persecution and injustice from all segments of society, starting from the family and society all the way to power, does not mean that it is the first initiative of its kind to defend women's rights. Women, by Wollstonecraft, but the circumstances at the time helped in presenting her ideas in addition to her support from a large segment of society. These attempts continued at the hands of many male philosophers until it was later achieved to guarantee women’s rights in a way similar to what was granted to men.
