تعد مخطوطة (رسالة في عدد المخرجين لحرب الحسين ع) من المدونات التاريخية الملفتة في بابها لأنها ناقشت نقطة مهمة في تاريخ الثورة الحسينية, وهي حقيقة عدد من خرج لحربه والذي تناقص وتزايد عند المؤرخين والباحثين ربما بحسب ما توفر لديهم من مرويات تاريخية وطريقة استقائهم للمعلومة, وربما لأنهم لم يعيروا هذه النقطة اهتماما لأنهم أرخوا للثورة كوحدة واحدة (مقدمات – مجريات احداث – نتائج) فجاءت هذه المخطوطة لتبحث في هذه الجزئية بطريقة علمية وباسلوب تحليلي, وهو ما دعاني لتحقيقها لأنها سلطت الضوء على هذه النقطة التي شهدت مرورا عابرا من المختصين, إلى جانب رغبتي في إظهارها للعيان بعد عقود من الاهمال علها تسد ثغرة في المكتبة التاريخية بمعالجتها لمفردة من تاريخ الثورة الحسينية.
The manuscript which titled 'a letter in the number of whom brought out to fight al –Hussein (a-s)' is very important for its contains . its author devoted himself to discuss an important case which concern with the components of the army which brought out to fight al –imam al –Hussein (a-s) . many historians took apart from many narrative and tried to accept it as a normal way front the authority to limited the Hussein revolution . the author studied many negatives of sunni or shiai historians and reached to an important conclusion which is that whom brought out to fight Al–imam Al-Hussein were about almost thirty thousand not only four thousand
