Abstract

This research aims to give a clear and integrated picture of the city of Kufa through what is mentioned in the Arab geographical thought and may be related to  its inception and development and  during a historical era that lasted until the eighth century AH, where it took over the deterioration and ruin and the great divine  and the distinguished position of the city of Kufa as it occupied its scientific place and religion reflected the aspects of civilizational development of it was not preceded by Basra nor cities, where Kufa was specialized from other cities with its sanctity
