Abstract

Resistance literature has been given attention as an important branch of the literature of nations for seventy years, despite it being as old as the history of the emergence of man. This branch of literature addresses the beliefs and biases of poets and writers regarding fighters and activists in the field of resistance against oppressors, occupiers and tyrants at all times and attempts to make the fighters more hopeful in continuing on their path by supporting them in the field of stability and steadfastness. Poets and writers in Islamic countries in general and Iran in particular are influenced by verses of the Qur’an in describing the characteristics of fighters and their books are full of Quranic teachings. This research aims, through a textual analysis approach, to show the prominent presence of Qur’anic verses and themes in poets’ poetry by examining samples of Holy Defense poems and poems by poets from other countries. The results of the research showed that the poets of these poems, through the use of enhancements such as “inclusion” and “allusion,” and by using Qur’anic themes, embellished their words with the divine word and conveyed these contents to the audience as valuable lessons from the word of God.
