The social reaction to ridicule by highlighting verse 11 of Surat al-Hujurat for some commentators

God, Blessed and Exalted be He, explains in the Holy Qur’an some of the causes and reasons for the immoral act of ridicule, and in conclusion mentions the social reaction towards this act. Some of the commentators, after mentioning the results resulting from this act, at the end of the aforementioned verses, such as verse 11 of Surat al-Hujurat, “O you who have believed, let not a people mock a people…and do not defame yourselves, nor challenge one another by nicknames…and whoever does not repent, those are the wrongdoers.” They explained This act leads to: lack of peace, social reconciliation and love; entering a dark society; the demise of goodness and the solidarity of society; Away from human values. In addition to what has been mentioned, ridicule and ridicule are among the habits and laws of criminals in force, which stem from arrogance and vanity. There is no doubt that God, the Blessed and Exalted, will destroy the mockers in this world and the Hereafter, as ridicule is the last stage of the stages of disbelief. This research derives its importance as the recognition of sarcasm and its effects is one of the valuable issues and that the true religion of Islam has emphasized a lot on the ugliness and lowliness of this act.
