Abstract

The soil conservation service hypothesis of the United States of America, known as the (SCS-CN) method for estimating the volume of runoff, has been relied upon, and it is a method of medium complexity.

    According to this method, depending on the environment of geographic information systems (GIS 10.5) and remote sensing techniques (IR), the estimation of the depth of the runoff resulting from the rain storm, the selection of the optimal site for water harvesting and the determination of the dam construction site, this method requires many equations and taking into account other factors As soil type and moisture, land uses and ground cover to obtain accurate results for measuring the flow curve according to (USDA).
