Abstract
Joseph Clement Pilsudski is a Polish nobleman, He became a rebel against the Russian occupation forces from an early age, His strong personality and his long struggle enabled him to have a great influence on Polish politics throughout the First World War, And at the beginning of his political career, Pilsudski became leader of the Polish Socialist Party, He believed in the inevitability of winning the independence of Poland militarily, So he formed the Polish Legions.
He was a distinguished figure on the international stage, seen as the father of the Second Polish Republic, which was re-established in 1918, 123 years after the partition of Poland since 1795 by Austria, Prussia and Russia.
In his youth Pilsudski believed in a large (multi-ethnic) Poland, including indigenous ethnic and religious minorities, He hoped to establish a strong union with Lithuania and Ukraine, Not that with the passage of time a corner to an idea, That Poland should be confined to the Polish Crown before partition, It is based mainly on an ethnically homogeneous Polish population and an emphasis on Roman Catholic identity.
When Poland regained its independence on T2 1918, Pilsudski became the head of the Polish state until 1922, During the period (1919-1921) he led the Polish forces in six border wars that redefined the eastern borders of Poland.
However, the pressure of his political opponents forced him to retire in 1923, to return to the June coup in 1926 and take power, He becomes the most powerful man in Poland, leading it to a decent place for it among the nations until his death in 1935. The researcher used a number of documents and sources in Polish in addition to sources in English.
