Abstract
The study aims at spatial and temporal analysis of traffic noise levels during the health ban period of the Corona pandemic and beyond, by taking different samples of the noise levels from the study area. The study aims to determine the most important sources of noise pollution in the internal roads of the city and their variation in the times of and after the ban, and to measure the levels of intensity of noise emanating from them, given that this increasing type of pollution has become important because of its negative effects on the surrounding environment and on the person himself.
Measurements were made (by Sound Level Meter, Lutron SL - 4010) on different samples within the study area, to determine the level of noise pollution resulting from the movement of vehicles and shops on city roads, and to measure the noise intensity of the different sources. The levels recorded were compared with some criteria, and it was found that the percentages recorded during the ban were within the permissible limit for the health level in most cases compared to other days.
The field survey and the geographical distribution of the noise pollution samples in the study area showed that there are points of severe pollution after the stone compared to the stone due to the high traffic movement, and the high probability of increasing the area of these foci and their danger in the future coinciding with the increase in the excessive use of means of transportation and the urban expansion of the land use for roads and streets In the study area.
