Abstract
The main objective of the current research is to shed light on banking performance and its evaluation by relying on the optimal management of the capital risks faced by banks in general, and these risks that occur due to unjustified negligence or lack of optimal guidance of the capital in areas or activities that require coverage of obligations Finance towards others.
The capital risks are reflected on the performance of banks clearly and affect the overall picture of the bank by giving a perception of the inability to cope with those risks, as well as for the realized profits necessary funds on sudden demand, and on the basis of which a number of commercial banks have been selected and listed in the Iraqi market Some financial indicators were used to evaluate banking performance and capital risk management, as well as some statistical methods provided by the statistical program (SPSS) to test research assumes.
The most important achieved results are the need for banks to follow the research sample policies adopted in how to deal with the ownership of capital in terms of good and proper employment for the benefit of positive for the benefit of shareholders and depositors alike, the research also concluded the need for banks to evaluate their performance through Identify the deviations in its business and find out the reasons and find ways to address them, and finally strive to be the evaluation of banking performance depends mainly on the index of capital owned to deposits as it helps to reduce the risk of capital, and avoid the bank some problems that Potentially exposed.
