Abstract:
The research aimed to explore the relationship between ethical leadership through its dimensions (orientation towards workers, justice, power sharing, ethical guidance, role clarity, and integrity), and organizational citizenship behavior with its five dimensions (altruism, living conscience, sportsmanship, civility, voluntary participation), The mediating role of organizational trust with its dimensions (trust in supervisors, trust in co-workers, trust in bank management) was tested in the relationship between the two variables. A number of (3) governmental banks operating in the province of Najaf were chosen as a community to conduct the research, as (120) questionnaires were distributed, (70) of which were retrieved and subjected to statistical analysis. The research revealed a positive impact of ethical leadership on organizational trust and organizational citizenship behavior, as well as a positive impact of organizational trust on organizational citizenship behavior. And organizational trust mediates the relationship between ethical leadership and organizational citizenship behavior. On the basis of the conclusions reached, several recommendations were made, the most important of which was that the departments of banks, the research sample, should move towards the practice of ethical leadership to a higher degree, as this style of leadership contributes directly to creating organizational confidence among employees in banks and then increasing citizenship behavior. their organizational.
