Abstract:
The subject of monetary policy and its impact on the achievement of monetary and economic stability sparked widespread controversy over the past four decades, especially dimension has become an important part of the economic policy of the country and a tool for achieving economic and monetary targets and increased the importance after the development of monetary policy in the general concepts and objectives and devise modern tools of cash and in front of these developments there were different views of economic schools in the interpretation of the extent to which the monetary authorities to affect economic activity.
And set monetary policy in Iraq targets and a clear aim was to achieve
economic and monetary stability and this is evident through the Central Bank of Iraq policy, particularly after 2003, and through the issuance of the Iraqi Central Bank No. Law (56) for the year 2004, which the Central Bank has granted its independence in decision-making away from the influence of political power, which gave a lot of credibility to the performance of monetary policy in achieving the set goals, and in spite of that at the current stage of the monetary authority it has faced significant challenges weighed heavily on the speed and effectiveness of the tools used and actions that have been taken Because of the importance enjoyed by monetary policy this study addressed the role of monetary policy in achieving monetary stability through the impact of inflation handle on the money supply as well as its impact on the exchange rate has been included in the study theoretical and conceptual framework for monetary policy and addressing the impact of monetary policy in achieving monetary stability through its impact the (exchange rate, inflation, money supply) and to optimize the use of financial resources in Iraq.
