Prophecy in the Torah between Religious and Social Discourse

Abstract
The study examines a topic that we think is one of the important topice because of its thorny aspects and conflicting opinions ,and it specializes in an interesting aspect which is the religious aspect and the understanding of religious phenomena within history and reality and not outside them ,given that religions have a known historical context that must be researched and a social phenomenon imposed by the existence of a human society in Certain circumstances, and prophecy is one of the main pillars of any religion .It has been known that prophets are chosen by God Almighty and they are the best of human beings in perfection and virtues .However ,the Torah attributes to them willful actions and behaviors that are not worthy of their status .Most likely ,it combined them with fortune –tellers and charlatans ,as it mentions the names of female prophets and speaks about their wisdom and courage ,which raises several questions ,considering that the Torah is the oldest of the heavenly books and that it is unique in mentioning the existence of prophetic women ,which is not mentioned in the Bible and the Quran.
