Geographical analysis of the human characteristics of theft perpetrators in Al-Qadisiyah Governorate

Abstract
Theft crimes are one of the most serious social problems that human societies have suffered from due to the great damage and losses they cause to lives and property and spreading chaos and loss of security in society. Geographical characteristics of the perpetrators of theft crimes in Al-Qadisiyah Governorate to know the variation in their rates and spatial and temporal trends and to know the characteristics of the perpetrators of demographic, social and economic crimes with the aim of contributing as much as possible to the formulation of security and preventive policies to reduce these crimes and maintain the security and stability of society, so a set of statistical methods was relied on He also used geographic information systems (GIS) to prepare a set of important maps for the study, and the study proved that the percentage of women's contribution to committing theft crimes in the study area is very low, amounting to (2.4%) of the total number of theft crimes registered in Al-Qadisiyah Governorate. The highest age groups committing theft crimes in Al-Qadisiyah Governorate are the two age groups (18- 18). (24 years) and (25-29 years), as they achieved together a rate of (61.9%) and a number of (128) criminals out of the total sample members of (210) criminals
