Abstract

Abstract :

   The study aimed to know the beginnings of higher education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the developments and changes that have occurred in it, as well as to shed light on the importance that it enjoys and its objectives and the great role it plays in the development and prosperity of societies and their cultural, social and economic development, including the Saudi society, and for these reasons, the selection of the study entitled (The beginnings of higher education and its development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia until 2005), as the Kingdom paid great attention to higher education and established its own ministry for it. It also touched on the methods and means that the Kingdom has followed to develop higher education and to make its outputs commensurate with the requirements of the labor market and developments taking place in order to serve and develop society, as it has established new universities as well as community colleges to accommodate the increasing demand of students on higher education, and in line with the technological and knowledge development in The scientific field focused on working in the distance education system, and all of this reduced the difficulties that he was facing This is higher education in the Kingdom, in addition to that, the study dealt with the most important problems and challenges faced by higher education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
