Abstract

The cultural factor has a significant impact on sustainable tourism development in any tourist area. In recent years, countries’ interest in historical buildings with cultural impact in the city has increased due to the hobby of survey and knowledge of peoples’ civilizations among a large number of tourists. Tourism has a significant impact on the state’s economy. The development of laws that can be modified according to the need for the urban preservation of buildings with cultural impact. After studying and analyzing the cultural reality in the city of Khanaqin, we find that the city of Khanaqin contains buildings and areas with a great cultural impact, but it is neglected for reasons that are not clear, so the impact of this neglect on sustainable tourism development in the city is this neglect The tourist attractions have decreased due to the destruction and wear of many buildings in the city, as these buildings were closed, in addition to the lack of attention to the tourist facilities that must be present in any historical tourist area.
