The Iraqi invasion of Kuwait is one of the important events in the history of the Middle East and the world alike, despite Kuwait's standing with Iraq during the last years of the war with Iran, however, this did not prevent Iraq from requiring Kuwait to obtain more financial support after leaving the war burdened with debt The matter ended with the worsening of friendly relations between the two parties, and the invasion occurred in August 1990.
