The Orientation Towards Social Power Among University

The current research aims to measure the level of self -deception among university students. The researchers set five goals, and to achieve these goals, the researchers follow the steps of the comparative descriptive research approach. The research sample included Basra University students for the morning study for the academic year 2020-2021. Their number is (200) male and female, and a scale of self-deception is built. The scale consists of (35) items divided into three areas. Moreover, the psychometric properties of the scale are extracted, and the researchers use the statistical package for social sciences spss for data analysis. The results show that university students have self-deception, and it is also found that there are statistically significant differences between males and females in favor of males, and there are no statistical differences between students by specialization. Accordingly, the researchers present a set of recommendations and suggestions
