Shiite political thought was an important and fundamental issue in knowing the development of this thought, understanding its structure to ensure a realistic historical vision by extrapolating the relationship of thought to power, and knowing the influences that determine the place of power in thought, taking into account the political and historical variables to which the Shiite movement was exposed and its effects that determined the position of power in Shiite political thought in an evolutionary context that began from isolation and strife and ended with participation and harmony in a stage in which thought matured with the theory of velayat-e faqih.
Shiite political thought has put forward theories of power, governance and the state, as the features of the political contributions of the religious reference began since the late nineteenth century in the incident of tobacco and tobacco in Iran, then the development of the political composition of Shiite political thought, especially in Iraq following the Iranian constitutional revolutions in 1905, and the Ottoman revolutions in 1908, as these two revolutions contributed at the beginning of the twentieth century to leave a very important social and intellectual impact that helped activate the political intellectual awareness of Iraqi society, and the development of Political awareness in the seminary in Najaf, this experience has led to the openness of Shiite jurists to political and intellectual debate on issues of freedom, tyranny, the constitution and parliament, the rotation of power, and the limits of the jurist's intervention in the state.
