Abstract

        Body language or what is known as ( the nonverbal contact) is not a new phenomenon within the Arab linguistic heritage; there are ancient writings  about this subject, yet there is no classification to be specified for tis title where those writings were scattered hither and thither. In the current time the researchers, in addition to the linguists :- the psychologists and those who are interested in developing the human resources,  pay a great deal of attention to this subject, so their sites on the internet has so many studies upon this subject.

         For the application of this study on the holy Qur'an, the effort were not on a high  level recognize the body language and analyze their significance, so this research is to add something to the Qur'anic studies.

         The holy Qur'an has many verses that deal with the body language, they are not restricted to certain organ, so eye is one of these organs. T e researcher focuses on eye as an important part of the social communication.

        The following are the research detailed results:-

• The crying eye significance had been focused in His Almighty say( is full of tears), which is so rhetorical expression, those who are mentioned in the verse have nothing to express their affection by the holy Qur'an save tears.
• Eye movement that express disdain gives different significances such as( shortness, irritating, oppressive, etc.)
• The research reveals that the scared persons eyes are looking disturbed waiting for his fate. This eyesight is similar to that of the person who is dying, both of them have the same eye movements for both of them are scared and waiting for something.
• The false sights:- it is said that the false eye is that which fear has affected it deeply.
• The submissive sights:- it means the humble eye.

The reflective sights :- is the eye that considers the creation of His Almighty God.

The staring sight:- is the surprised eye that are fixed without any movement due to the surprise, so it is gazing.

The stealthily glance resulted from two reasons:- the expecting of something that is undesirable, or the shyness accompanying humbleness where both of them believe that everyone is looking at them.
