How to document sources
Document references and sources in APA format, as follows:
A - write in the body of the research automatically in the program (Word) from the References tab, insert a quote, then fill in the fields according to the type of reference. Or open parentheses ( ) and write the following:
- If the reference is a book or magazine, we write the author’s last name, year of publication, page.) Example: (Al-Kulaini, 2007, vol. 1, p. 120)
- If it is a website, write: Last name. First name, (Year of publication of article, day of month). Article title in italics. Retrieved on today's date, month, year from the website.
B - List of references at the end of the research:
*Books:
- A Book by one author: Last name. First name, (year of publication), book title in italics. (Name of investigator or editor). i. Then the edition number, if any. Place of publication: Publisher.
-A book by two authors, or even six authors: We follow the previous system, but we put a comma and then the letter “waw” before the name of the last writer.
Example 1: Al-Kulayni, Muhammad bin Yaqoub (d. 329 AH). (1999).Al-Kafi. (Ali Akbar Ghafari: Editor). 5th edition. Iran. Islamic Books.
Example 2: Al-Bukhari, Muhammad bin Ismail (d. 256 AH). (1980). Sahih Bukhari. 1st edition. Beirut, Dar Al-Fikr.
*Journals, periodicals and newspapers:
-An Article from a magazine or periodical: last name, first name. (Year of publication, day if available, then month if available). Article title. The name of the journal in italics, the volume number if available (issue number), and the page range.
- An article from a daily newspaper: - A book by two or up to six authors: We follow the previous system, but we put a comma followed by the letter “waw” before the name of the last writer.

* Encyclopedias: Last name. First name, (Year of publication). Article title. In the name of the encyclopedia in italics, (Part and page number, c p. page range), place of publication: Publisher.
*Internet sites: Last name. First name, (year of publication of the article, day of the month), article title in italics. Retrieved on the date of today’s month, year, website.
