The researchers aimed, through the current study, to evaluate the consolidation of the principle of administrative decentralization in Iraq after the transfer of ministerial authorities to the local government in the province of Najaf, especially since decentralization in Iraq has gone through several stages due to the different political systems until it reached the local government represented by the law of the irregular provinces in the numbered region (21) for the amended year 2008, and countries differ in their form and method of administrative organization, and may transform from a simple central state to a decentralized state, and this depends on the diversity of the societies in which these states are established in terms of their political, economic and social reality, and management methods vary according to local conditions where they vary Local services from one region to another and according to their geographical structure, and administrative decentralization is one of the most important methods of administrative organization of the contemporary state, and the system of administrative decentralization requires the independence of the local government with its own authorities and competencies to be exercised in accordance with the constitution and legislation issued by the central authority, and the importance of research lies in that the evaluation of administrative decentralization In terms of application, it has a positive impact that contributes to identifying strengths or weaknesses, and represents The problem of the research is in measuring and evaluating the goals that reflect the application of the principles of administrative decentralization in the Najaf governorate, and for this purpose, the researchers studied the case of the municipality of Najaf. The gap, and the available data were analyzed using the mathematical equations for the list, and the research proved that the evaluation process according to the dimensions related to the consolidation of the principle of administrative decentralization, has achieved a percentage matching the dimensions of the research at a rate of (61%), and the local government should reduce the size of the gap by taking into account all the recommendations Which the researchers mentioned in order to complete the success of the rest of the goals and address the local needs.
