Abstract

Purpose: The research sought to study and diagnose the real role of green transformational leadership in achieving project sustainability for the Visitor City in the Holy Karbala Governorate, which is one of the important service projects in the country, by addressing these two variables in the theoretical aspects and experimental statistical tests of the research.
Research design: The research included an analytical study of the investigated problem by collecting data about it through a questionnaire prepared for this purpose, which was designed according to the research variables represented by green transformational leadership as an independent variable, which included the sub-dimensions (ideal influencer, inspiring advocate, intellectual catalyst, individual consideration). And the dependent variable represented by sustainable projects, which included the sub-dimensions (environmental dimension, economic dimension, social dimension). The research sample consisted of workers in the visitors’ city, numbering (65) respondents. The research relied on a five-point Likert scale (Five-Point Likert - Type). In determining the scale items, relying on the statistical packages of the program (SPSS. Ver. 23).
Results: The research presented a number of results with regard to testing the research hypotheses and accepting its hypotheses drawn up in the hypothetical plan of the research, with statistically acceptable percentages of significance.
Conclusions: The research reached several conclusions, including indicating the existence of a tangible role for green transformational leadership, which is the main driver in achieving sustainable projects through an integrated leadership perspective.
Contribution/Value: The research seeks to achieve a real contribution to achieving the essential role of green transformational leadership in achieving project sustainability in light of an unstable global environment.
