Application of Some Industry 4.0 Techniques in Designing Supply Chain By Using Simulation: A Case Study in the General Company for Food Products / Al-Mamoun Factory

This research aims to design an efficient supply chain by using some of techniques of the Industry 4.0 system, and then compare it with the current supply chain and choose the most efficient chain between them, by answering the main question of the main problem of the research , which is "How can Industry 4.0 be applied in designing a supply chain for the production line of solid detergent powders at Al-Mamoun Factory?. The researchers chose the General Company for Food Products / Al-Mamoun Factory as a site of the research and solid cleaning powders as a sample of it, so that the researchers used a set of Industry 4.0 techniques in building supply chain for it, starting with the stages of storage and passing through production, delivery, and then comparing the proposed chain with The current chain using (delivery capacity, cost, profits) as a criteria’s, and selection of the best chain. The researchers adopted the case study approach in dealing with the practical side of the research due to the nature of this approach. As for the tools that were used in the research, the simulation model (Monte Carlo) was the main tool for the research, which was used in building the proposed chain .The results came to indicate the preference of the proposed chain, which is the supply chain based on the Industry 4.0 system, over the current chain, according to the standards approved by the research. Thus, the research recommended the factory to adopt the Industry 4.0 techniques in designing the supply chain for the research sample product.
