The Impact of Financial Technology on Improving Financial Performance: An Analytical Study of the Iraqi Banking Sector for the Period 2017-2022

Abstract

 This research has dealt with two variables: financial technology as an independent variable, and financial performance as the subordinate variable. The main objective of researching support for Iraqi banks is to achieve financial performance by developing their banking services in line with the latest innovations in the financial and technological field to achieve financial performance in Iraqi banks, to highlight the actual role played by financial technology in achieving financial performance, as one of the most prominent contemporary banking methods. By providing high-quality, low-cost, and accessible services, the research community included the Iraqi banking system, and the time limits extended between the years (2017-2022), a period that witnessed the actual transformation towards the dependence of financial institutions on electronic services as an alternative to traditional methods. The study was based on the relevant Central Bank data, and the research adopted the financial analytical method to measure the relationship between variables, and it was based on building its hypotheses on accurate financial indicators. Accordingly, the research recommended the need to prioritize the adoption of financial technology in the design of banking services, taking into account the quality and accessibility of these services.
