Abstract

    The goal of the research is to study the role played by financial accounting in achieving the financial sustainability of companies, with a focus on the Baghdad Bank as an applied model. The sample included workers, managers, and heads of departments at the Baghdad Bank, where a random sample was taken by (40) questionnaires, and the results analysis were carried out using the SPSS statistical program, by applying the appropriate statistical methods to test the hypotheses and their variables, including the average arithmetic, standard deviation and Person correlation laboratories. The results have shown that the correlation between financial accounting and financial sustainability (the correlation coefficient = 0.851, Sig. Rather, it has a tangible economic effect. Among the most important recommendations: Enhancing the application of the principles of financial accounting within the Banque Baghdad Bank in line with the approved criteria, through the bank’s general administration in coordination with the accounting department reviewing and developing current accounting policies in a manner that serves financial sustainability.
