This research aims to analyze the current state of employees' technical skills in production planning and to demonstrate the role of linear programming in developing these skills to achieve a competitive advantage and maintain the organization's market share. The study adopted a descriptive-analytical approach، selecting a men's clothing factory in Najaf as a representative case study of production organizations in the textile industry. The focus was on identifying the reasons for the decline in employees' technical skills، analyzing the nature of traditional production methods، and exploring the possibility of replacing them with modern quantitative methods، particularly linear programming and sensitivity analysis using QSB software.
The results showed that adopting linear programming significantly contributes to improving production planning decisions، selecting optimal production alternatives، and achieving optimal utilization of factory resources، which positively impacts cost reduction and profit maximization. The study also indicated that developing employees' technical skills through continuous training and the use of specialized software is a fundamental factor in supporting production performance and enhancing the competitiveness of national products in the Iraqi market. A set of conclusions and recommendations was reached، emphasizing the necessity of investing in human capital and modern quantitative technologies to ensure sustainability and competitive advantage.
