Abstract

The fatwa of the sacred defense announced by the Supreme Leader, Mr. Ali al-Sistani, is no longer a passing event that passed over Iraq and folded its page, but that event was a  historical turn that had a great repercussion not only on Iraq and the  region, but also on the whole world because of the contents and goals of that fatwa  of humanitarian, jihadist and defense that expressed the role of religious leadership aware of events and showed the extent of the ability of the Shiite religious establishment in the face of the most severe terrorist attack that the countries of the world could not stand in the  face of As a result of the ideas protected by that fatwa, everyone supported and responded to it from different sects, sects and ethnicities because it represented the right to confront falsehood and is no longer specific to Shiites only.

The research tries to shed light on the position of some international newspapers from the Popular Mobilization and its vision and how to address and cover the battles fought by the Popular Mobilization Forces in Iraq after the issuance of the fatwa of holy jihad by the supreme authority Mr. Ali Al-Sistani (long as his shadow is lush), and in fact we can not p to count those positions completely, but we will highlight what was publishedby the major international newspapers  From information and positions regarding the Popular Mobilization to be a model through which we learn about the importance and strength of the Popular Mobilization in preserving the unity of the Iraqi people and liberating their lands from the defilement and defense of takfiri terrorist groups.

The American press comes at the forefront of international newspapers and may be the Washington Post and also the New York Times of the most prominent and most important American newspapers that have wide ranges in terms of influence on international decisions, so those two newspapers had several articles have been published regarding the Popular Mobilization and the battles in which it participated, where the two newspapers recognized the high morale enjoyed by the sons of the Popular Mobilization who came to the battlefields not for purposes Material, but the main and ultimate goal is to meet the call of reference and therefore the more the goal spiritually and morally, the greater the determination, in addition to that, those newspapers referred to the organization, which was shrouded in the fighters of the Popular Mobilization and even praised the heroism they achieved in defeating terrorist groups as well as their response to the accusations made by some, especially in the biased Arab media regarding the existence of violations in those battles for the people of the  western provinces.

The British, German, Canadian and French press also played a major role in covering the battles fought by the Popular Mobilization, and  some of these newspapers even sent their correspondents to the battlefields who are close to what  is happening for what they called (the search for the truth) and thus transferred to us several pictures of the Popular Mobilization, most of which praised its jihadist role.
