Abstract

Studying the history of modern and contemporary Iran is of particular importance, due to considerations such as the geographical locations on the eastern borders of the Arab world and Iraq in particular, and the events in the Middle East region, which are distinguished by their sensitivities and importance to the international powers and interests in the region at that time, so the interest in contemporary history is not limited to individuals Iraqi authors and historians only, but the scope of interest expanded, especially during the 1970 and 1980, to include governmental and non-governmental academic institutions, such as universities, history institutes, and scientific research centers. It revealed a number of facts, first of all, most of these works were published during the period (1970-1990), so it cannot be ruled out that the books were influenced by the prevailing political conditions in Iraq at that time, and the reflection of negative relations on their writings. Let us present the tables of the most important treatises and dates discussed in modern Iranian history and the permission of Iraqi universities, and it should be noted that most of them were purely historical researches, some of them tending to have a non-topical elemental accent. While many research centers affiliated with the Iraqi universities appeared, were limited, either because the goals were unclear or they lacked the freedom to carry out research and present the necessary conclusions and ideas.
