Proportionality, disconnected letters, the Holy QuranAbstract
Scholars, both past and present, have diligently sought to uncover the connections between the chapters (surahs) of the Holy Quran, exploring the meanings and secrets inherent in its arrangement. This includes examining the relationship between the chapters, their placement relative to one another, and the connection between their opening and closing verses, as well as their implications for the content, objectives, and overall message of their verses. Furthermore, they have spared no effort in investigating the meanings and secrets of the isolated letters (muqatta'at) within the Holy Quran. This research into the connections between the chapters beginning with isolated letters in the Holy Quran highlights one aspect of the miraculous nature of the Holy Book. The connections are remarkably striking between chapters containing one or more of these isolated letters and those containing the same letter or letters. This is further reinforced by the connections between adjacent chapters within the Quranic order.
