The research aims to evaluate the performance of banks through the PATROL model , which is one of the modern models of early warning due to its ability to detect errors and deviations and work to address them, which includes several indicators, namely capital adequacy (PAT), profitability (R1), credit risk (R2), regulation (O) and liquidity L.The results were reached using two methodologies, namely classification, which is based on the classification of the components of the model according to a criterion of (5-1), where the classification (1) represents the best performance while the classification (5) represents the lowest performance, and the weighting methodology that is based on the weighting of the components of the patrol index according to certain weights, as well as measuring the indicators of banking growth (asset growth, loan growth,) and finding the relationship and impact between the indicators of the patrol model and the indicators of banking growth. The study population was represented by commercial banks listed on the Iraq Stock Exchange and (14) banks were selected as a sample for the study.
