Abstract

The political situation in the city of Istanbul during the eighteenth century AD was mostly characterized by weakness in its governmental bodies. During the reign of its sultans, the Ottoman Empire appeared in this century with ebbs and flows, appearing at times with an appearance of strength and at other times with an appearance of weakness and decline, and in the end the balance of power was fortunate, which tended in favor of the European countries, thanks to their military superiority and the establishment of defensive fortifications, which were able to put an end to the expansion. The Ottoman Empire in Europe, as a result of the treaties under which the borders of the Ottoman Empire were reduced. Although some sultans sought to improve their situation. This period also witnessed the succession of the greats to more than seventy-eight ministers, a situation that the state had not known since its founding, and the emergence of the Janissary army, and they became the tools of destruction, and constituted a curse on the state, so their multiple revolutions emerged and became stronger, bringing them to the point of causing chaos, in addition to killing the sultans and deposing them. And bring them to power.
