Abstract

Financial institutions, regardless of the nature and types of their businesses, seek to achieve and ensure financial sustainability for the longest possible period. Perhaps the most prominent thing that helps these institutions ensure financial sustainability is keeping pace with the developments witnessed by the external environment in which they operate and translating those developments into their internal environment. This research aims to achieve financial sustainability through basic banking solutions, namely electronic banking services systems, global financial settlements, anti-money laundering, and automated teller machines. Data was collected from the financial reports of banks listed on the Iraq Stock Exchange for a sample of (10) banks for the period (2010-2020), and the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method was adopted. A number of conclusions were reached, the most important of which is that the Iraqi banking sector suffers from slow performance, as evidenced by comparing the optimal performance obtained through the results of the study analysis.
