The research assumes that time is manifested by techniques that contribute to the narrative construction, and spreads a literary space written by the Egyptian Abd al-Rahman al-Sharqawi in the style of the play, and its fame fills the horizons, and it is the play Al-Hussein Rebel, and we will search in it for the impact of time on the narrative formation, as an element of the literary construction, and our cradle Therefore, by defining time in narrative criticism, then explaining its perceptions in the cognitive spaces adjacent to criticism, especially philosophy, then applying the categories of time to the selected play, namely: the two types of time: external and internal, then the temporal paradox through retrieval (memorial narration), external retrieval, And the internal, then the argument of narrative anticipation, as a prelude and declaration, and the last of which is the argument of accelerating the narrative, with the technique of abstraction, deletion, and slowing down.
