Abstract

Abstract

The agricultural crops that are grown in the study area or other areas achieve the self-sufficiency of those crops and their agricultural products. The study revealed that the province of Najaf cultivates many different types of agricultural crops, as grain crops topped the largest part of the area and production among other agricultural crops, While vegetable crops occupied the least area and less production of cereal (field) crops, while fruit crops finally came with less area and less production among other agricultural crops, and this increase in area and production between one crop to another is due to Pledge of allegiance soil that are cultivated on the one hand, and also used to the owners of this land (farmers) to be cultivated, the fact that these lands and crops are not subject to government strategy, but is linked to the will of the farmer and the nature of his need, and the possibility of profit or loss.
