Abstract

Summary

the researcher sought to know the correlation between resist the temptation and psychological rigidity dimension (Commitment, Control and Challenge) for the school’s directors. To achieve the research goal, the researcher builds a scale to measure the resist temptation according to Arnold Lazarus theory, which is contain in it is last version from (23) clause. He builds another scale to measure psychological rigidity dimension according to Suzan Kobaza, which is contain in it is last version from (31) clause after verifying its reliability, stability and analysing its paragraph statistically on the research sample, which contain (400) school’s directors (men and women) in Najaf Provence that has been selected randomly and in proportionate style. The researcher extracted the search results after building of the scale through analysing the answers of the school directors drawing on SPSS through the computer and by suing set of analytical tools including (One sample T test, Independent T test, Pearson correlation coefficient, Z test and Multiple regression). The research reaches to the following results:

  • The school’s directors in Najaf Provence has a resist temptation.
  • The school’s directors in Najaf Provence has the three-psychological rigidity dimension (Commitment, Control and Challenge).
  • There is a positive correlation relationship with statistical significance between the resist temptation and psychological rigidity dimension.
  • There is no statically significant difference in correlation relationship between the in psychological rigidity dimension and resist temptation among the school’s directors in Najaf provinces of according to the type variable (males and females).
  • The psychological rigidity dimension (Commitment, Control and Challenge) Contribute statistically and resist temptation among the school’s directors in Najaf provinces.

Based on the result of the research, the researchers puts some recommendations and suggestions.
