American interests in Saudi Arabia 1917-1960

Abstract
Saudi Arabia has many features , for which has made the country plays an important role in the area , for that reason too, the country is being the focus for the great powers , especially the united states , it occupies a religious position that is not comparable to any other country.
It is the cubator of the holy places for muslims the other sites of importance . It located in a strategic place as it is a country rich in minerals , the most important of which is oil as it is considerd one of the largest oil – exporting countries and has large reserves it , the united states of America paid agreat attention to Saudi Arabia , at a time it was the largest producer and oil consumer , and this represented the beginning of interest with it is supporting the oil companies for gaining foothold , nevertheless the international issues , and the increase of its interests in the area pushed the united states in finding afoothold there for the sake of its strategic interests and making Saudi the center for conforting communism , also the united states has made it clear that the Saudi is afirm and strategic ally , for that the united states had allocated huge finance to Saudi and all presidents were keen to delivering mony there .
