the introduction
Jordan was and still is at the forefront of the Arab countries that takes the initiative in resolving crises that occur between Arab countries - despite its limited capabilities - when the Iraqi-Kuwaiti crisis began in 1990, it made great diplomatic efforts to solve it, especially since the occurrence of this crisis was a natural outcome of the absence of democracy and that the ruling regimes are Individual and authoritarian regimes, where the ruler monopolizes power in an absolute monopoly, and makes random, destructive decisions that are not in the interest of the nation, and this is what made Jordan, through its King Hussein bin Talal, make diplomatic efforts to resolve the crisis peacefully without plunging the region into an irresponsible maze, and this stems from Jordan's environmental obsession, which It appeared clearly in the speech delivered by King Al-Jassin at the World Climate Conference in 1990, in which he portrayed his absolute conviction that the occupation of others is not necessary by force and the necessity of resolving it through peaceful negotiation or resorting to the joint Arab military force.
The study seeks to achieve the main objective of the mechanism adopted by Jordan in resolving the crisis, using the historical descriptive and analytical approach. The study was divided into an introduction, two papers, and a conclusion: the first is entitled: Signs of the deterioration of Iraqi-Kuwaiti relations and Jordan's diplomatic efforts to resolve the crisis based on Jordan's belief in the necessity of preserving Arab security and sparing Arab blood. There is no path that we did not take in order to enable our Arab family to stand with the Gulf crisis and solve it within our Arab home. The second topic is entitled: Jordan's diplomatic efforts after holding the Baghdad Summit in May 1990 to resolve the crisis between Iraq and Kuwait, through Jordan's adoption of the concept of balance and maintaining its position and commitment to the Arab approach according to the slogan "Let us build this country" and serve this nation.
This is what prompts us to say that the Arab nation needs Arab leaders who believe in the idea of Arab nationalism and adhere to it and the ability to overcome adversity and adopt the approach of moderation in political behavior, in accordance with the Almighty’s saying in Surat Al-Baqarah (Thus We have made you a moderate nation).
